Tenebris Somnia troubleshooting
The next step
If the game will not launch, verify the installed game files in Steam before reinstalling. If installation says “invalid platform” on Linux or Deck, check Steam Play compatibility. There is no verified universal “11c7” fix in the sources used here.
Verify the correct library entry
- Close the game. In Steam Library, open its Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files. Allow the check and any repair download to finish, then launch the same entry again. Check the demo separately if that is the affected application. A completed integrity check confirms installed files, not that your hardware or Linux configuration is supported.
Compare the official PC requirements
The checked Steam minimum is Windows 10 64-bit or later, a 2.4 GHz dual-core CPU, 8 GB RAM, 4 GB VRAM, DirectX 11 and 13 GB free storage. Recommended: Windows 11 64-bit, a 3.6 GHz quad-core CPU, 16 GB RAM and 8 GB VRAM. Those are store requirements, not our performance measurements.
A blocked puzzle is not always a bug
A static TV can mean the remote still needs its two batteries on Floor 3. A closed projector door needs the phone’s code in your Old Book. A mismatched elevator route may be a copied randomized sequence. Check these task prerequisites before restarting a run. For a persistent launch error, use the game’s Steam support entry; we do not present driver reinstalls, guessed save paths or configuration edits as game-specific proven fixes.
